Benešov si připomněl 17. listopad

U pomníků před benešovským gymnáziem se dnes v 11:00 uskutečnil pietní akt, kterým jsme si připomněli boj studentů za svobodu a demokracii v roce 1939 proti uzavření českých vysokých škol a odstartování Sametové revoluce v roce 1989, která vedla ke svržení totalitního komunistického režimu v tehdejším Československu.

Po zaznění státní hymny se úvodního slova ujal místostarosta Mgr. Zdeněk Zahradníček, který připomněl 17. listopad, jako datum, které se váže ke dvěma historickým milníkům, jenž od sebe dělí půl století. Poté předal slovo profesoru benešovského gymnázia Mgr. Pavlovi Hozovi, který si připravil velmi poutavý projev, který byl zaslouženě oceněn potleskem přihlížejících studentů benešovského gymnázia a ostatních zúčastněných. Této vzpomínkové akce byl přítomen také starosta města Ing. J. Hlavnička a místostarosta Ing. R. Tichovský. Pietní akt byl zakončen položením věnce, který zdobí česká trikolóra, která za Sametové revoluce byla používána občany k vyjádření nesouhlasu se stávajícími poměry.

Odpoledne pak byla na Masarykově náměstí otevřena i venkovní tematická výstava k připomenutí tohoto významného dne.
