Hejtman Petera: Potřebujeme zvýšit zájem o studium sklářského oboru

Hejtman Středočeského kraje Miloš Petera navštívil v úterý 11. listopadu sklárny Bohemia v Poděbradech. S ředitelem výroby Jaroslavem Seifertem nejprve jednal o možnostech spolupráce Středočeského kraje a poděbradských skláren. V jeho doprovodu si poté hejtman prohlédl továrnu a seznámil se s postupem výroby tradičního poděbradského olovnatého skla.

Jedním z hlavních témat jednání s ředitelem poděbradských skláren bylo učňovské školství. „Diskutovali jsme s ředitelem Jaroslavem Seifertem o možnostech spolupráce poděbradských skláren s Centrem odborné přípravy v Nymburce. Pan ředitel mě informoval, že o spolupráci se školou mají vážný zájem a jsou připraveni nabídnout studentům praxi ve výrobě. Problémem je ale nízký zájem studentů o sklářský obor. Budeme na kraji hledat cesty, jak tento obor pro studenty zatraktivnit,“ shrnul jednání hejtman Petera.

Dalším tématem byl export sklářských výrobků do Číny. „S ředitelem Seifertem jsme se shodli na tom, že Čína je pro naše sklářské výrobky atraktivním odbytištěm a že je třeba export do Číny podporovat. Budeme se snažit využít naší spolupráce s čínskou provincií Sichuan k navázání nových obchodních příležitostí pro poděbradské sklárny,“ doplnil středočeský hejtman.

Sklárny BOHEMIA a.s., jsou nejstarší sklárny ve středních Čechách a jsou tradičním výrobcem olovnatého broušeného křišťálu, který je exportován do celého světa. Tato tradice se v Čechách zrodila na počátku 18. století a ovlivnila veškeré světové sklářství. Český broušený křišťál patří k tomu nejlepšímu, co v daném oboru vzniklo.

Poděbradské sklárny jsou největším výrobcem olovnatého křišťálu v České republice i ve světě. Sklárna Bohemia v Poděbradech v současné době zaměstnává přibližně 330 zaměstnanců.
